This community has seen an influx in commercial growth in the past 10 years. Commercial real estate development includes two new shopping centers at the Treasure Valley Marketplace and the Nampa Gateway Center. Lakeview Park is one of the most picturesque community parks and highlights a stunning rose garden, duck pond, amphitheater, baseball field and a water park. Another major recreational hotspot is Lake Lowell. The lake is one of the best recreational sites in Canyon County and is a popular venue for enjoying swimming, boating, fishing, and hiking. There are also two public parks along the lake where residents can gather for barbecues or picnics. Lake Lowell Park is located on the upper dam and includes a disc golf course. The park on the lower dam is part of the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, so it is a great site for bird watching. For those that enjoy fishing, hiking or bike riding the Wilson Creek Park is a great nature park which features fishing ponds. The natural habitat not only attracts birds and wildlife but is a great place escape. If golfing is your passion, the city also has two public golf courses on which you can perfect your swing.
Besides the shopping and parks, one city attraction that many tourists love to explore is the Warhawk Air Museum located near the Nampa Municipal Airport. This museum features a collection of fighter airplanes and equipment from wars fought by the United States in the 20th century.
